Bang Nam Priao, Chachoengsao Province, Thailand – May 16, 2025 – XAG, a leading Chinese agricultural technology company, in partnership with Thailand’s Chia Tai, has inaugurated its first Authorized Service Center in Southeast Asia. Located in Bang Nam Priao District, Chachoengsao Province, the center aims to provide professional repair and maintenance services for agricultural drones and smart farming equipment, enhancing support for Thai farmers.
Strengthening Smart Agriculture Infrastructure
The establishment of the XAG Thailand Service Center is a pivotal component of the “Chia Tai Experience” initiative, which seeks to empower Thai farmers with advanced agricultural solutions. This initiative follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between XAG, Chia Tai, and Yanmar S.P., reflecting a shared commitment to developing smart agriculture solutions that improve cultivation efficiency and promote job security.
The service center offers localized services and technical expertise, supporting day-to-day drone operations such as direct seeding, plant protection spraying, and fertilizer spreading. By minimizing downtime and ensuring consistent operations, the center equips drone pilots and farm owners with the necessary knowledge and tools to work more efficiently.
Advancing Precision Farming in Thailand
Since 2023, XAG has partnered with Chia Tai to introduce a range of precision farming equipment, including agricultural drones, autopilot consoles, and smart fertigation systems. The “Chia Tai Experience” serves as a hub for training and knowledge sharing, hosting both the Drone Academy and the XAG Thailand Service Center.
Mr. Manas Chiaravanond, CEO of Chia Tai Company Limited, emphasized the initiative’s goal: “The Chia Tai Experience aims to create sustainable collaboration to support farmers, especially rice farmers, in becoming professional farmers through the development of various knowledge and skills.” He added that this approach would help transform traditional agriculture into a stable profession, attract the younger generation back to farming, and enhance the quality of life for farmers.
Supporting Thailand’s Agricultural Export Growth
Thailand, as one of the world’s leading rice producers, exported 9.95 million tons of rice in 2024, marking a 13% increase from the previous year and the highest level in six years. To maintain competitiveness, smart agriculture solutions like those provided by XAG and Chia Tai are essential for enhancing productivity, managing production costs, and achieving higher yield targets.
