UPL has reportedly informed public relations agencies about launching “Propose,” an insecticide formulated with Chlorantraniliprole and Chlorfenapyr in a Suspension Concentrate (SC) form. The product targets pests including caterpillars, thrips, and red spider mites on crops such as soybeans, cotton, corn, and millet. UPL claims Propose offers high efficiency and flexibility, suitable for ground or aerial application methods, including drone usage, in compliance with local regulations.
Our investigation confirmed through shipping records that a product named “UPL 1040 FP PROPOSE,” with the mentioned active ingredients, was exported from India to Brazil on January 25, 2024. However, we found no official announcements or detailed public information from UPL regarding Propose’s official launch, availability, or specific usage guidelines in Brazil.
In contrast, we verified UPL’s previous insecticide “Prez,” launched around September 2024, containing Acetamiprid and Bifenthrin. Prez specifically targets pests such as spittlebugs affecting pastures and other pests on sugarcane and eucalyptus.
Thus, while evidence suggests the existence of Propose, official details from UPL remain limited.
