Strategic Expansion to Support Innovation and Sustainable Agriculture in Latin America
Ponta Grossa, Brazil – May 21, 2025 – Brazilian agribusiness company Agrocete has announced plans to invest BRL 11 million (approximately USD 2.1 million) in building a new production plant focused exclusively on biological inputs. This investment marks a major step in the company’s strategic shift toward advancing sustainable farming technologies.
Bioinput Capacity to Meet Growing Market Demand
The new facility will be located at Agrocete’s headquarters in Paraná and is designed to scale up production of biological inputs aimed at improving pest and disease control, promoting plant growth, enhancing nitrogen fixation, and increasing nutrient availability in soil. The initiative supports Agrocete’s broader strategy to expand its presence in the fast-growing market for sustainable crop solutions.
Marketing and Technical Director Andrea de Figueiredo Giroldo explained,
“Our commitment to innovation and sustainability is the foundation of this expansion. This new facility will strengthen our ability to deliver advanced biological solutions that align with the future of agriculture.”
New Product Pipeline and R&D Commitment
Agrocete has also committed to allocating 5% of its annual revenue toward Research and Development (R&D). By 2027, the company aims to launch eight new biological products, developed in-house or in partnership with leading biotech innovators.
This expansion of R&D reflects Agrocete’s commitment to scientific progress in agriculture and its ambition to lead Brazil’s biologicals sector, a market already generating BRL 5.7 billion annually and projected to grow by 60% before the decade’s end, according to ANPII Bio.
Empowering Teams and Reinforcing Vision
The announcement came during Agrocete’s Strategic Alignment Week 2025, a corporate event that brought together more than 100 employees, managers, and representatives from across Brazil and neighboring countries, including Uruguay, Paraguay, the Dominican Republic, and the United States. The gathering focused on aligning company goals, reviewing agronomic data, and building leadership capacity.
The event also emphasized the company’s vision to scale innovation not only through products but also by empowering its workforce and cultivating partnerships across the Americas.
A Sustainability-Driven Growth Model
Nearly half of Agrocete’s current portfolio consists of sustainable products—either biological or derived from organic materials that enhance the efficiency of agrochemical inputs. In Brazil, these accounted for 76% of the company’s total revenue in 2024.
“Sustainability is not a goal—it’s the compass guiding our innovation and operations,” Giroldo said. “Through technology, people, and purpose, we are creating solutions that positively impact the land, farmers, and society.”
