At the 2025 edition of Show Safra in Mato Grosso, Brazil—one of the country’s largest agricultural trade fairs—U.S.-based agrochemical company Albaugh showcased its newest innovations in fungicides and insecticides, highlighting its commitment to providing efficient and high-quality crop protection solutions.
LANFOR PRO: A High-Concentration Fungicide
Albaugh introduced LANFOR PRO, a systemic fungicide formulated with Azoxystrobin and Cyproconazole in a Suspension Concentrate (SC). Notably, the product is twice as concentrated as the category average, allowing for lower application volumes while maintaining strong efficacy. It is designed for preventive disease control in a wide range of crops, including cotton, soybeans, corn, coffee, sugarcane, oats, wheat, barley, sunflower, millet, eucalyptus, and irrigated rice. The product can also be applied in the planting furrow of sugarcane, enhancing early-stage disease resistance.
Albaugh reports that LANFOR PRO is effective against Cercospora leaf spot, Phaeosphaeria leaf spot, and other common foliar diseases. Its concentrated SC formulation supports easier field application, reduced handling volumes, and better logistics.
Enhanced RECONIL RFT and Next-Gen Insecticides
Albaugh also presented the reformulated RECONIL RFT, a fungicide featuring an upgraded adjuvant system that improves tank mix compatibility and enhances rainfastness, helping farmers maximize application efficiency and flexibility.
In the insecticide segment, Albaugh spotlighted three notable products:
- AFIADO: Offers effective control of whiteflies and soybean stink bugs, supported by a modern liquid formulation and lower toxicological classification. It delivers shock action with long residual effects, making it safe for beneficial predatory mites and natural enemies.
- KRYPTO: A high-performance alternative to acephate-based insecticides, KRYPTO demonstrated excellent compatibility with biological inputs for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in research conducted by Smart MIP/ESALQ. It is effective against stink bugs, caterpillars, and leafhoppers, and provides strong egg and nymph control.
- SULTAN: Albaugh’s latest launch, based on ethiprole, features double the concentration of similar market products. It is approved for use in soybeans, cotton, coffee, rice, and sugarcane, targeting hard-to-control pests such as stink bugs.

Strategic Growth Through Formulation Innovation
According to Albaugh’s Marketing and Development Director Nelson Azevedo, the company’s success in Brazil is closely tied to its strategy of portfolio expansion and formulation differentiation. “Our products are developed to simplify operations in the field and deliver maximum efficiency. LANFOR PRO, AFIADO, and KRYPTO reflect this strategy with high concentration and ease of use,” Azevedo noted.
With increasing demand for targeted, sustainable, and flexible crop protection solutions, Albaugh continues to position itself as a key player in Brazil’s competitive agrochemical market.
