The first-quarter export data for China’s phosphate fertilizers shows a significant drop in volumes for both Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) and Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP), signaling a cooling demand in key international markets. While the decline in export quantities is concerning, the increase in average export prices for both products suggests that higher prices (driven largely by raw materials) are helping to offset some of the volume losses.
