On 27 February 2025, the Panzhihua Environmental Protection Association released the environmental impact report for Yanbian Chucai Mining Co., Ltd.‘s ambitious 250,000 t/a ilmenite project. This project, located in Anning Industrial Park, also includes the comprehensive utilization of 100,000 t/a discarded low-titanium resources, showcasing the company’s commitment to sustainable resource use and expanding its production capacity.

Construction Details:
- Titanium Middling Ore Drying and Magnetic Separation Production Line:
- Processes 200,000 t/a titanium middling ore with a titanium grade of 38%.
- Expected output includes 150,000 t/a ilmenite, 12,000 t/a sub-titanium concentrate, and 14,000 t/a sub-iron concentrate.
- Key facilities include dryers, cooling drums, and dry magnetic separators, with biogas produced by a downdraft biomass gasifier used as the heat source.
- Comprehensive Utilization and Drying Production Line for Discarded Low-Titanium Resources:
- Processes 100,000 t/a low-titanium resources, producing 38,000 t/a ilmenite.
- The line also processes 100,000 t/a flotation ilmenite, employing ball mills, magnetic separators, spiral classifiers, oscillating cone concentrators, and dryers.
Company Background:
Chucai Mining was established on 17 October 2023, primarily focusing on mineral washing and processing. The new project is a part of the company’s strategy to enhance its operational capacity and contribute to the growing demand for ilmenite in global markets.
