Hunan Norchem Biotech Co., Ltd. (Norchem Biotech), a growing player in China’s bio-fermentation and corn deep-processing industry, is moving forward with its latest expansion and technical renovation project targeting feed-grade inositol and a 58.5% liquid sugar mixture.
On March 7, 2025, the Jinshi High-Tech Industrial Zone Environmental Bureau officially accepted and published the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the project, greenlighting its next development phase.

- 1,000 t/a of inositol (feed grade)
- 30,000 t/a of 58.5% liquid sugar mixture (composition: sucrose 60%, fructose 20%, glucose 20%)
Technology & Production Process
- Inositol Production:
- Starch is hydrolyzed using microbial fermentation-derived enzymes, followed by purification and refining to isolate inositol, widely used as a feed additive and growth promoter.
- Liquid Sugar Mixture:
- Sugar juice (15% concentration) undergoes sterilization, adsorption decolorization, filtration, and vacuum concentration to achieve a clear, high-purity syrup. This product supports bakery, beverage, and food additive sectors.
Workforce & Operation
- Labor Quota: +30 new staff
- Operating System: 3 shifts/day, 300 working days/year
- Construction Timeline: Estimated completion in 6 months (Q3 2025)
