In April 2025, Guangji Pharmaceutical (Mengzhou) Co., Ltd. (Guangji Pharmaceutical) announced the successful completion and acceptance of its 1,000 t/a (1%) vitamin B12 comprehensive utilisation project, marking a significant milestone in its expansion within the vitamin and pharmaceutical sectors.
Project Overview and Investment Details
The project represents a total investment of RMB 2,960.00 million (approximately USD 412.40 million), with RMB 51.00 million (USD 7.11 million) dedicated specifically to environmental protection initiatives. The project occupies a site area of 83,670 square meters and is designed to deliver:
- 480 t/a of vitamin B12 food additives (calculated at 1%)
- 20 t/a of mixed food additives (0.1%-2% specifications)
- 500 t/a of mixed feed additives (0.1%-2% specifications)
- 4,000 t/a of by-product organic fertilizer
It is noteworthy that the originally approved 1 t/a adenosine cobalamin food additive line was not constructed and was excluded from the acceptance assessment.

The scope of the project acceptance included comprehensive assessments of:
- Exhaust gas treatment
- Wastewater treatment
- Noise pollution control
- Solid waste management
The production processes and associated environmental facilities were found compliant with relevant regulatory standards, supporting Guangji Pharmaceutical’s commitment to sustainable operations.
