New capacity – Gansu Binnong Technology Co., Ltd. has received approval from the Lanzhou New Area Ecological and Environmental Bureau for a new pilot production line to manufacture 1,200 t/a Tembotrione TC. This is part of a larger project involving the production of 22,000 t/a pesticides and intermediates.
The first phase of the 22,000 t/a project includes the construction of production lines for 9,000 t/a Methyldiethoxyphosphine, 5,000 t/a Glufosinate, which was completed in August 2021, with environmental clearance obtained, and operations commenced in September 2021. Environmental protection acceptance for phase one was finalized in April 2024.
However, to meet market demands and validate production processes, Gansu Binnong has decided to discontinue its plans for producing Bentazone in the 22,000 t/a project. Instead, the company will repurpose an existing drying facility to create a new Tembotrione TC line.
